Julia Schechtman Pabst has sung in various European opera houses (Germany, Switzerland, Holland), roles such as Gilda in Rigoletto, Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, Adele in Die Fledermaus, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos.

The CDs, Lilies and Simple Gifts and Eye on the Sparrow, available on this website include some of her recorded sacred songs, oratorio as well as traditional American melodies, old-time favorites and contemporary pieces. She is accompanied on piano by the conductor, Saul Schechtman.

Saul Schechtman, conductor and composer, has led various orchestras in Europe and the USA. A guest conductor with the Philadelphia Orchestra, musical director of the TV series, Omnibus, conductor of the chamber orchestra, Orchestra Piccola, he was also the musical director of original Broadway productions, such as Hello Dolly! and Carnival!.

His compositions include orchestral works, instrumental music, and many art songs. Four of his sacred songs and his new arrangements of Simple Gifts and His Eye is on the Sparrow are included in the CDs, Lilies and Simple Gifts and Eye on the Sparrow. He lives in New York.
